Visit Lawrenceburg Showcases Local Treasures at the 2024 Travel Tennessee Exhibit

Summary

Visit Lawrenceburg sat up a display at the Tennessee State Fair to showcase items made in Lawrence County and attractions that make our community so great.

This August, Lawrence County made its mark once again at the Tennessee State Fair, participating in the Travel Tennessee exhibit, which highlights the unique offerings of every county in the state. Set up in the prestigious “Made in Tennessee” building, Visit Lawrenceburg’s shelf display proudly represented the community at one of the most well-attended events in Tennessee. Fairgoers from all over the state, country, and even across the globe—34 different countries to be exact—came through the exhibit to get a taste of what each county has to offer.

The Travel Tennessee exhibit was part of a larger effort to showcase the “Best of Tennessee,” with each county invited to create displays that celebrate their local attractions, events, and culture. From family-friendly outdoor adventures to historic landmarks and delicious dining options, the Lawrence County’s display captured the essence of our vibrant community. With over 861,000 visitors to the 2024 fair, our display helped spark curiosity and excitement about what awaits travelers in our part of the Volunteer State.

Thank you to everyone involved in making our county’s presence at the fair a success. The committee behind this display worked tirelessly to ensure our county shined, inspiring people to consider Lawrenceburg as their next travel destination.

We are proud to be part of a statewide initiative that brings attention to the best our county has to offer—from our scenic outdoor spaces like David Crockett State Park to our rich history as the birthplace of Southern Gospel music and everything in between.

Looking ahead to 2025, we aim to continue showcasing our pride and the special charm of Lawrence County. If you didn’t have the chance to see this year’s display at the Tennessee State Fair, be sure to look for it at the Middle Tennessee District Fair and mark your calendar for next year’s Tennessee State Fair, where we’ll be back, bigger and better, to share the very best of Lawrence County!
